Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for High Cholesterol

Keep your pizza intake to one slice to avoid high cholesterol intake while you dine at Pizza Hut. Skip Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice as it contains a high amount of fat and the sodium levels are also very high. Avoid the desserts section completely to limit the fat and sugar intake. Went yesterday evening for the first time. Our server was Raquel, she was awesome. Food was very good! Would definitely go back again when I go back Sierra Vista.

Better than regular Pizza Hut, but.......that's not really anything special. The staff is nice enough, but they lack a good flow. A buddy of mine was drinking Sierra Mist, and a hostess filled his glass with water. She apologized and said, "I'll bring you a new one right away!" Right away never happened. The food is ok, but when I've had pasta, it just wasn't very good. I haven't had their pizza, but it looks like they make it kind of like you'd see at CPK rather than Pizza Hut with gobs of cheese falling everywhere. But I haven't tasted it. For Sierra Vista, it's probably better than most places. But it's definitely nothing to get excited about.

This Pizza Hut is staffed with the most incompetent individuals in the world. I ordered a pizza several weeks ago with two marinara and one garlic sauce. I received the pizza with no sauce. I let it go, because I understand that sometimes things just don't go your way. A week or so later, I ordered another pizza with two marinara and one garlic sauce. I received the pizza with one garlic sauce. At this point, I called and asked to speak with a manager. A young female came on the phone, said she was the manager and said that she would deliver me two marinaras which I thought was ridiculous but I agreed to because I was so flabbergasted at the incompetence. 50 minutes later no marinara had arrived, so I called again and ask to speak with the manager. An older female came on the line and told me that SHE was the manager. She apologized, and gave me a credit. Well, you will NEVER guess what just happened. I redeemed my credit, and very specifically stressed the importance of my sauces, and the pizza arrived SAUCELESS. Needless to say, I will not be ordering from there again.

I already have a weakness for Pizza Hut. I don't know if it's the Book It program, or the ninja turtles, or what. But I cannot resist that overly greasy crust with that overly salty zesty sauce, thick ass cheese, and slightly burnt pepperoni. Love it. Love it. Love it. I'm sick of it for 3-6 months after consuming it, but then I get that feenin' and come crawling back, desperately, pathetically. I guess that first part of the review was for Pizza Hut's Pepperoni Pan Pizza. The rest of the review will be for the fancy pizza hut. The place is fun. Fun in that corporate trying to make a fast food joint into a "nice sit-down place" way. Service was good. The kids and I were provided with ample coloring materials. I got to drink beer. They have pasta and stuff. But I just got the pepperoni pizza. And I'm proud I was only a little bit resentful that I had to share it with my niece and nephew who obviously don't know how to appreciate it. I mean they're like 5 and 10. 5 and 10 year-olds don't know shit.

"Upmarket PizzaHut" is still the same PizzaHut barf in a package worthy of a Perkins ... Maybe it needs an expresso bar? The lipstick on a pig comment is appropo. Avoid.

I've never been a Pizza Hit fan until we moved to this town. This place is great. The staff are very friendly and accommodating to our large family, the pizzas have always been quality compared to other chains, and our whole family enjoys their soup and salad options. Keep up the good work.

  • Bruce M.

Yes, I know: A review of a chain restaurant? I will have to say that I am reviewing this restaurant only because it is consistent. Consistency is hard for a restaurant and Pizza Hut Bistro delivers- literally. Although I have not utilized their delivery service, the taste and quality of the food here is above most expectations. I have only been here three or four times, however, each time the food was tasty and the service was sufficient. The thing that strikes me is how the food does not have that out-of-the-can defrosted and re-heated taste. The pizzas and pastas are tasty, filling, and reasonably priced. If you have yet to try, or are put off by the name, give them a chance as this restaurant is how all chains should aspire to be: Consistently meeting hunger needs without denting the wallet. Final rating: 3.9

Pizza Hut Bistro has some of the best pasta in town. I've gone here about half a dozen times and everytime has been wonderful. They have very tastey and hardy salads that will fill you up. I'm not a fan of Pizza Hut's pizza so always order their pastas and salads. I love their Tuscani Tuesdays too! I call ahead, have them cook up the two pastas and it's so convenient since this place has a drive through window, I just pick up dinner on the way home. This is a definate winner in my book.

  • Niki F.

Recently contacted the proprietor, John Elam, to arrange a catering order. His expertise and advise were invaluable, the order itself was delivered swiftly and the food was devoured by all. Quick, simple, professional and delicious; can't beat it. Very pleased. As for the restaurant portion, it's Pizza Hut BISTRO, okay? It's very fancy. Well, no, but it's very nice; with an expanded dining menu full of surprisingly tasty salads, pastas and artisan pizza. They even serve some respectable wines. And I'm told the Italian Nachos are amazing, but I've yet to commit to the calories. The service, over the last eight years, has always been great. And, however sad this may sound, it is, at present, the best Italian restaurant in town.

Went tonight with my son and husband-took 10 mins to be seated (or even acknowledged) 10 more minutes before our drinks came out, the list goes on. It took about 90 minutes to get a large stuffed crust and breadsticks. Server was terrible and flaky and never even removed dirty plates or cups off our table throughout the meal. Never checked on us and told us to wait longer for ice cream we ordered prior because "it was to hard"-huh?! Yeah no it was just bad. Food was good tho

Hubby and I chose this place for this week's date night, and I was happy with the service and the food. I'm only judging on my one visit, so I can't say anything for consistency, but tonight's meal was tasty and reasonably priced. I had the bacon florentine "bistro" pizza and the jalapeno poppers for an appetizer. The poppers are under some other name on the menu, but they really are just poppers. Both my dishes tasted great. The pizza was very rich with real slices of bacon and alfredo sauce instead of regular pizza sauce. The ambiance is nice here. We were there at sunset and the employees were kind enough to close the blinds without us asking so we weren't squinting in the late afternoon sun. Our server, Ashley, did a good job. We did wait a little bit to get our check. I will definitely return and I hope my second visit is as enjoyable as my first. EDIT: I visited a second time and had to knock off a star. The food was good, but we had to wait for our check again, and our glasses were empty for most of our meal. The kitchen staff is turning out first-rate food, but the service needs improvement.

I went with a party of 3 for a quick lunch. This was my first time to a Pizza Hut Bistro. I was immediately impressed by the clean bathrooms (ceramic tiles). The decor had a very warm and slightly artistic feel. The large windows also added a really open feel. The food was okay for a bistro style establishment. We ordered off of the bistro menu and though the food was filling, I could not get over the fast food taste. The "bistro" pizza was underseasoned, definitly not fresh made, and left the typical awkward oily and preservative after taste. The service for a pizza bistro only 60 percent full on a weekday lunch also had much to be desired. It took us 25 minutes to get our pizzas to us, which suggests a slow kitchen. Our waitress was okay though. Simply put if you expect to get "bistro" quality this is not your place. It is a filling lunch though.

  • Tim G.

This is a definite change from your typical takeout Pizza hut or old style dine in. This is a Pizza Hut Bistro, for real. You get a nice dining in experience with a whole added "bistro" menu. Along with WingStreet and their Normal Pizza's they have lots of specialty pizzas and pasta's. My favorite thing though would be WingStreet. They have some Awesome honey bbq wings which they can do bone-in or bone-out. We normally grab these and take them to the Park or back to the house! The only thing holding back 5 stars would be the price and service. If you sit down with your family of four, expect to spend $40-60. The service is hit or miss depending on who waits on you but you can always count on the GM or Manager make sure the kitchen is running well!

Pizza Hut Bistro? Whhaaaat!? Yep, that was my inital thought when we drove by. Well, my curiousity dragged us in to try it. When we walked in, I was surprised to be greeted by a hostess and seated at a table and handed menus. Fancy. lol. After scoping the menu, we decided on cheesy garlic bread, spaghetti carbonara, and a philly steak bistro pizza. We chose everything off the bistro menu, but they still had the standard Pizza Hut offerings if you desire. Also, they serve beer and wine. Food was good. They came out plated nicely and the waiter even had the cheese grater in hand to top off your pasta/pizza when it was brought out. I couldn't stop smiling because I couldn't get over the fact that it was a Pizza Hut. lol. The pasta was good. The sauce wasn't too salty and the bacon bits added good flavor. The pizza was thin crust and light but could've been cooked a bit longer because we like our pizza crispy. We both enjoyed our meal nonetheless. Food was good, service was good and I had a good time with the whole experience. I would consider it again for my visits to Fort Huachuca as it is a straight shot down the street from base. It kind of reminds me of Olive Garden, except it's less expensive.

I'm writing this rating during football season so it's to be considered slightly biased towards the 'to-go' segment. Ordering on-line: Great and you can create a profile in needed for future ordering. Build your pizza: Too easy and $10.00 ANY SIZE/ANY STYLE! Luv this deal! Email confirmation: Can be sent to your mobile devices if selected. Neat Pickup time: Usually ready in 20-30 min. Drive-thru window: Winnah! Hand over moolah & receive pies. Get home in plenty of time if you've planned kick-off time properly. Sit, watch game, eat, and pray the AZ Cardinals don't suck the enjoyment out of the session by blowing should-win easily games!

I loved it! I personally really enjoy Italian food as much as the mobster in Chicago! This place knows Italian! Whether it deals with Pasta or Sauces and ofcourse.. PIZZA! Nice scenery and comfortable chairs make me want to stay there for all three course meals. Not to mention the FANTASTIC employees.

Yes I know, it's Pizza Hut, but it's kind of an upscale Pizza Hut. The environment is nicer inside and there are more items on the menu like different pastas and salads and desserts-which is why I went in the first place. For some reason, I was hankering for Spaghetti Carbonara. I was pleased to see this on the menu, and while I didn't love it, it was good and satisfied the craving. Service was great and attentive. I wouldn't mind coming here every once in a while.

We were greeted & seated immediately, which is refreshing for a Sierra Vista lunch at 2PM. Our server Courtney was very pleasant and helpful. We ordered the cheese bread & a large thin crust. Everything arrived hot & in a reasonable time. The restaurant was very clean & relaxing. Would definitely recommend.

if you have ever been to SV, you know that it is a tiny lil town, with few places to go (hence my very limited reviews there). one of the places i have really enjoyed is pizza hut bistro. honestly, it's decent pasta and pizza really close to home...closer than delios (and better, but that's just me). my husband is ADDICTED to their bruschetta...my dad loves it too. i try to get new things there, but i'm pretty stuck on their spaghetti carbonara (mmmm *drool*) and...drawing a blank on the names...well, the chicken w/ bowtie pasta & spinach is awesome & last time i went i tried the chicken w/ penne, spinach & a tomato cream sauce...tasty goodness. my hubby loves their sandwiches...last time he got the chicken jalapeno one and said it was hot, hot, hot! downside...i haven't tried to go for lunch, but i hear it's wicked crowded. rob & i tried to go a few weeks ago but couldn't wait for a half hour (!!! this place used to be empty all the time! a half hour? i got a poker game to get to!) waited again when we went back last week, but it was pretty worth it. i don't understand why, but apparently they had cut some servers...right during dinner rush. stupid bistro...that's silly. you need them to bring me my food! total, number one, pushes you to five star rating in ally's book...these motherfuckers have sweet tea. thank you buddah, ally heart sweet tea! my prayers have been answered. i would go here every day if i could...if carbs weren't my enemy

I've been to Pizza Hut when it was so crowded, that everyone was sweating buckets all over the place at the take-out area. Even us customers! Sadly, Sierra Vista doesn't have any real stock of Italian restaurants, so this is the best you're gonna get (until such a place opens). Their food is great, especially the alfredo pasta. The employees are always working hard and maintaining a great attitude, no matter how busy it is out there. I've yet to have a sit-down meal at Pizza Hut, but my take-out experiences have been awesome.

  • Stacy S.

Given the limited options available in Sierra Vista this is a unique change of pace from the norm. The dine in staff was prompt, courteous yet did not hover over you, one felt important and appreciated. I would like to see a more "cozy" environment, I felt that I was in a fish bowl to some degree.

I've never rated a take out, but their service was quick, accurate, and they know the area so well that you just need to tell them briefly where you are at and they'd know your place. Very friendly staffs, great food, can't compliant.

This place was fantastic. Along with the normal pizza hut menu is a full selection of specialty foods. The specialty pizzas and pasta are delicious, as well as a fine selection of salad and soup. The only thing better than the food here is the price.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
